Meet Lexie, my two-week old Lumix LX3.

Panasonic Lumix LX3 is a hot commodity. It is popular among tech enthusiasts in Manila, who for some reason don’t want to cross over to the DSLR territory. It’s for those of us who don’t have enough money, TIME, and that knack for the art – yet wanted to take quality photos. Well at least that’s how i see it, a far better explanation than it being “the trend.”
As the patrons increase, monikers were given to their gadgets. Or like me, some people just love to personify their stuff. (The idea that someone might use the name for their LX3 actually triggered this post.)
So before anyone else can claim the name (as if they can’t), I should announce that mine is named Lexie. Yup, the one from Grey’s Anatomy. It was christened that name since day 0.5. Lyka is another familiar name I considered, but we had a dog named Lyka (and she’s gone now). And admit it, Lexie = LX3 simply fits!

When Mozilla Labs introduced Test Pilot, it’s not the overview that really caught my eyes. Sure, it’s a new framework that aims to involve a representative 1% of the Firefox users, a neat & orderly means of increasing overall participation, and a nifty & easy way for beta testers to send in feedbacks. BUT…
What really had my attention is the cute Test Pilot logo [above]. Where can i get those Pilot gears and costume? It’ll be a perfect set for irrashai.

My gift for irrashai this Christmas –> a new outfit.
Overall it’s not as ‘Christmasy’ as last year’s snowman-clad Bearista. Just a pair of embroidered sweater, shorts, a polo, and a red cap. But i do love the red cap though. I lost last year’s very pretty cap, hope this one stays for a year… or longer.
Happy Holidays!
This is what i got for my birthday – a Logitech VX470 Bluetooth mouse to go along with the Macbook Pro.
(Well they say the white one looks better with the Mac, but either one’s ok for me. And this is the only one available, even taken from another branch of this PC shop in Katipunan. So what the heck, go for it.. gift naman eh! )
Look at Irrashai. If only there is an orange version, i’ll grab that for sure and not this.
The blinking blue LED light (for bluetooth) is annoying rash, so i’m christening him with the name Blue Blink (errata: not that anime/cartoon series aired in local TV when i was a kid). The name’s kind of fit for it though aside from obvious reasons. It’s blue, it’s blinking, and it’s from Blink.
