Harry Potter Day: The Flaw in the Plan
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
National Book Store, Katipunan Branch
7AM
(I should be reading, but i gotta post this! No spoilers here, except for uhm, the title.)
I have finally laid my hands on HP7. Wee!!! Wee!!! Got it, got it!!!
Irrashai and I arrived at the bookstore exactly 7AM. There was already a line outside, and they are being allowed in. Wow, the line was really very long. After twenty minutes or so, I reached the end of the long line where HP is waiting for me to pick him up.
I was too excited, even expecting the saleslady and the store personnel to be in costume or sumthin. But for someone living in the Philippines, that’s too much to ask. Honestly, i never anticipated a line so i wasn’t in a hurry at all (though wanting to reach the store by the time it opens).
There’s light (claiming area) at the end of the tunnel.
What’s disappointing is that… although the line for reserved bookbuyers has reached the other end of the store, there’s one counter alloted for people who did not reserve. Meaning, bad trip, naka-reserve kami, una pa sila nakabili! And with the same perks (10% discount and a cookie) as our lot. One brave lady pointed this out though and she insisted for a refund while buying her own unreserved copy at Counter 4.
While i’m at it, let me just point that HP7 has an orange shade to it. I wonder if irrashai’s got anything to do with it.
Anyway, it’s time to be serious. PLEASE DON’T DISTURB! I’M BUSY!
