This is a very special blog post. Irrashai has turned 2. This is the last year we are celebrating it with his bossing. Nevertheless, it’s gotta be a merry and memorable celebration. Happy Birthday Rash!

What is the term for the day before the actual birthday? I know eve is the night before an event.. Whatever it’s called, today is that day for irrashai. And it definitely calls for a celebration. :p
To start off the festive mood, I made myself and a friend wear orange to match the celebrant. It was by mere coincidence, and very lucky indeed, that four of us in the technical staff were actually wearing the same shade of t-shirt. As if we all agreed to do it for the same cause – for rash. Haha, the long walk to Engg for lunch was quite an experience for the four of us. But it’s great! It’s really the color of the day!
Aside from this sort of surprise, a lot more awaited for the rest of the day.
The gifts we bought last night – the emperor expansion and an orange sweater with hat/cap – were very much appreciated. The baked macaroni (again, it’s orange) was sumptuously shared by the staff and the SAs. Plus pictures and pose here and there.. (it’s his weakness). All in all, the pre-celeb day turned out amazingly well. And while he thinks the surprise ends there, wait til he comes home tonight. He will be delighted, i’m sure. He might even take time to play in the puzzle mat when he should be dozing off.
It was really wonderful. It’s a memory i will cherish from time to time. It makes me thankful that it’s been a year since i had such a wonderful member of the family. I’m looking forward to at least another year. Anyway, the entry ends here. But the celebration does not. Tomorrow will be another day. Of course, no birthday transpires without a birthday cake.
