HBP Release Date Moved

Friday, 15 Aug 08 irrashai 1 comment

– from November 21, 2008 to July 21, 2009!

I was like “What????” I just read the most depressing and most ridiculous news of the week. Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince movie, which is scheduled for release in November 21, will be moved to a new show date.

For anyone interested, Link to Mugglenet here for the official press release from WB. As for me, I’m not wasting my time to read it.

11 months to go. I’ve been waiting for like forever.. Now how can i enjoy the loooonngggg weekend? Depressing. Now can anyone please change the date in the trailer?

HackaCon 2008

We were @ HackaCon – IT Security Seminar and Open Hack Challenge! It was a well-deserved 2-day holiday on Aug 8-9 for the Tech guys.

August 8, Friday
> Linux Security & Data Center Security
> Hardening against TCP/IP Attacks
> Certified Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures (CEH)
> Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT)

August 9, Saturday
> Microsoft Security
> Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)
> EnCase Computer Forensic Part I
> EnCase Computer Forensic Part II

Overall, this IT security seminar held at the PSE Bldg. in Ortigas was good enough. Speakers from international and local tech industry were impressive – based on expertise, accomplishments, and certifications. The speakers list include Muhammad Islam (Network Security Consultant Kuwait), Wilbert Ontoy (Bitshield), Armand Hernandez (PCS), and Sir Ariel Ilumin (PNP-CIDG). However, l’d say the sessions are quite not that outstanding. But that’s to be expected given the 2-hour time alloted for each session. I think this was the first and will most likely be a yearly conference. In fact, I thought i heard Singapore’s next.

We were given free shirts though (for pickup next week). My two best sessions are Ethical Hacking and Computer Forensics.
