Pausch and the Last Lecture
I was reading Slashdot this afternoon when i came across the news that says Randy Pausch, known for his Last Lecture, died on July 25. Pausche is a computer science professor at the Carnegie-Mellon University who suffered from terminal pancreatic cancer.

I’ve heard a lot about this famous speech “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams” (popularly the Last Lecture) that was held September of 2007. The video received millions of views on the internet. Well, you all know the story by now.
I had a copy downloaded from iTunes U (along with other lectures from Berkeley). It was in my desktop for a while, and not until May of this year that I watched the entire speech. I tell you, it was worth it. It’s always nice to hear from mentors and successful people in the technology field and their view of life. So if you haven’t seen it yet, take some time to watch (it runs for 1:16).
Watch directly from the Carnegie-Mellon page on Youtube or download from iTunes Store (iTunes U -> Carnegie Mellon University -> SCS Video).
